Columbia Globetrekker ShirtJac : Take the Chill Out

During a recent trip to Vermont, I was lucky enough to visit when the trees were absolutely ablaze with brilliant fall colors. I was also happy to have my Globetrekker Shirtjac to keep me warm during daily early morning hikes in the crisp air.

On every brisk, breezy day, I felt comfortable in this poly-blend jacket. It has a nice form-fitting cut, zippered hand pockets, a mesh lining, and a micro-fiber stretch fabric that gives me a fit that never feels too fitted or too loose.

Columbia's Globetrekker Shirtjac t is casual, ideal for traveling, and stylish enough that I can essentially wear it anywhere. During my travels, I found myself wearing it as a light-weight comfy shirt one day, and as a jacket over a shirt on other days for a little added warmth.

Machine washable and wrinkle-resistant, I can roll it into a compact little bundle that easily fits into my fanny pack or the outside pocket of my rolling travel pack. When I need it, I just pull it out, give it a good shake to take the wrinkles out, and I'm good to go. The fabric also has moisture wicking properties, so even when the weather eventually changes back to warm and humid, so I can wear it for more strenuous workouts than woodland strolls.

Bottom Line: For active, outdoor enthusiasts who are on the go and like traveling light, the Columbia Globetrekker Shirtjac is a versatile companion.-- C.W. (Nov '07)
